Item Analysis Report

Use:
Provides answer choice frequency information on a question-by-question basis, which for test grading is useful for question validity. Using the Item Analysis reports, you can see how students responded to the question. If problems are found (e.g., the question was poorly worded), you can throw out the question or allow additional responses to be considered correct without rescanning test forms.

Description:
There are three versions of the Item Analysis report: Detailed Item Analysis: On a per questions basis, this report displays each answer choice, its frequency and corresponding percent, the Point Biserial statistic (a measure of how closely the performance on a test item is related to the performance on the total test), and a customizable graph of the frequency. Condensed Item Analysis: On a per questions basis, this report displays each answer choice, its frequency and corresponding percent, and a bar chart of the frequency. Answers chosen more often than the correct answer are shown in red and the correct answer is shown in green. This report is a shorter version of the Detailed Item Analysis. Item Analysis Graph Report: On a per questions basis, this report displays each answer choice, its corresponding percent, and a customizable graph.
