Yes, here is a breakdown of which products can save to Office 2010 formats:
  • Remark Classic OMR 4: You may open or save data to the Access and Excel 2007-2010 formats.
  • Remark Office OMR 7: You may open or save data to the Access and Excel 2007 format.
  • Remark Office OMR 8: You may open or save data to the Access and Excel 2007-2010 formats.
  • Remark Web Survey 5.0/5.1: You may open or save data to the Access and Excel 2007 format.
  • Remark Web Survey 5.2: You may open or save data to the Access 2007-2010 formats.
  • Remark Test Grading Edition 1: You may save data to the Access 2007-2010 formats.

Important Note: You cannot save to either Excel or Access 2007/2010 without the Microsoft Office 2007/2010 Database engine. This engine installs with Office 2007/2010 and can also be installed independently. If you are running Microsoft Office 2010 without Office 2007 previously installed, you will need to install the 2007 database engine first. If you have Office 2010 and do not see Access or Excel 2007-2010 in your Save as Type list, please install the engine below.

The Office 2007 database engine is available as a download from Microsoft and is called the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components:

When saving to the Excel format, Remark Office OMR can save data to a new Excel spreadsheet, add new sheets to an existing Excel spreadsheet and append data to existing Excel files. You cannot overwrite existing files or sheets.

To save your data, do the following:

1. Go to File / Save Data As.

2. When the Save as window opens give the file a name and select the folder in which you want to save your data.

3. Use the Save as type drop down list at the bottom of the window and scroll down to select either the Excel or Access 2007-2010 file formats.

Important Note: Even though Excel 2007/2010 supports more than 255 columns, the third party connection that Microsoft provides to software vendors currently does not. If you have more than 255 columns, you will need to export your data by selecting fewer than 255 columns per sheet for export.

1. Select the appropriate Excel format as your file save format under Save Data As.

2. In the Save window, click the Advanced button and deselect the fields being saved until you have fewer than 255. Save the data to its own sheet in Excel.

3. Repeat the process to save the remaining fields, selecting the fields that were not saved initially and save this data to its own sheet.

Another option is to save data to the Spreadsheet (txt) format, which allows more than 255 characters, and open it in Excel.
