Upgrading to Remark Web Survey® 4

 

The Challenge:

Dick has been a Remark user for many years. We asked him for his opinions about how the latest version of Remark Web Survey has worked for his online data collection needs. His business needs a web survey program that provides a reliable and accurate way to measure opinion.

The Solution:

Dick has been an enthusiastic champion of Remark Web Survey since version 1.0. As computer and web technology have evolved, so has the program. Dick begins by telling us “Before I can respond to your question, ‘what do I think about the Remark Web Survey 4 improvements’, I must go back to the basics of why Remark Web Survey (RWS) is such great software for survey/opinion research.”

He notes, “First, there is a tendency in the market place for companies to provide hosted services rather than capable software that is easily used and controlled by the user. Hosted services are much more costly, clumsy, and are not under control of the user. Secondly, RWS is, and has always been, reliable and free of bugs...One must be able to sleep at night and know RWS is doing its job. And, RWS has done that since version 1. Thirdly, software support is there when you need it. While I go months between ever calling for help, I know that when I call or email, the support I receive will be the best in the industry, the industry benchmark. Remember, when you have great software you don’t have to call often. And finally and most importantly, does the software do what you need it to do? Yes, customers frequently comment about its functionality and appearance, but from my perspective it collects the needed data easily and reliably.”

As far as specific features are concerned, Dick says “The new email client is a feature I am thrilled to have available. I have used the sendmail feature (sending a link back to yourself to continue a survey) on about six surveys at this time and the customers love the option to pause and resume later. All of us have interruptions and being able to complete the survey later is a great feature. It appears to really help with improving survey participation.”

He also appreciates the Answer Piping feature, which “really makes the respondent feel like the survey was made especially for them. Who doesn’t like to see their name and be addressed personally?”

Another tool he uses is Form Scheduling, which he states “…is great in that some people may have the URL and want to do the survey after we have closed the survey. It helps soften the blow that the survey is closed and we appreciate their interest.”

Dick concludes by saying, “In summary, I constantly look for better survey data collection and reporting software, but I always come up with the same answer, Remark Web Survey fits my needs best. The RWS team deserves five stars on everything. I demand quality and I am not an easy person to please when it comes to the tools of my trade – opinion research and surveys. RWS is a product I strongly recommend and I have never had anyone say they were ill advised by me. Thank you!”
