Thank you for using Remark Office OMR 7. The Remark Office OMR 7.0.3 update adds some new enhancements and corrects a few minor flaws since the original 7.0 release. To install the update, double click the Roo703up.exe file to launch the update and then follow the on-screen instructions. ------------------------------------------------------------- The following enhancements were made in version 7.0.3: ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5739. WINDOWS 7 SUPPORT The major enhancement in this version is Windows 7 support. Microsoft made a few changes to their database engines, which affected our Excel export and Remark Quick Stats module. Version 7.0.3 is now compatible with Windows 7. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5732. ERROR 9000 WITH A SINGLE OCR REGION A problem was corrected where an Error 9000 would occur if saving a template that only contains an OCR region and no other regions. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5736. MISSING DATA IN CROSSTAB REPORT A problem was corrected where the Crosstab report in Remark Quick Stats had missing data. The problem occurred when a conflict between data types was detected, and was most often seen with numeric data labels that included symbols (e.g., "20+"). ------------------------------------------------------------- The following enhancements were made in version 7.0.2 that were rolled into this update: ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5545. APPLY RETURN FIELD WHEN TYPING IN DATA GRID If using database lookup and typing information directly into the data grid, the information will be validated against the database and the return field(s) will be populated (previously you had to choose the lookup field from a drop- down list or use Review Exceptions to have the return field(s) updated automatically). ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5506. FASTER AUTO FORM AND PAGE ID Improvements were made when processing forms using Auto Form ID and Auto Page ID so that the forms are recognized faster. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5175. SHOW CELL TEXT The ability to hover the mouse over a grid cell in the Data Center was added so that you can see the entire contents of a cell without expanding the cell border. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5261. LICENSE TRANSFER WARNING When uninstalling the software, a warning will appear about transferring the license. If you intend to move the software to another computer, you must transfer the license first. This warning serves as a reminder to do the transfer before uninstalling. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5039. RESPONDENT DETECTION ON MULTIPLE DATA GRIDS You can now use the Respondent Detection function with more than one open data grid. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5427. RIGHT CLICK TEMPLATE ALIGNMENT You can now right click a template file (.omr) and choose to align the template regions. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5038. SAVE MULTIPLE DATA FILES TO ONE FILE You can now use the Save All function to save all open data files to one master file. The data sets must originate from the same template file in order to be combined. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5353. GRADING SUBJECTIVE ONLY TESTS You can now grade a test that has only subjective questions on it (no multiple choice/objective questions). ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5512. NEW STUDENT GRADE REPORT PROPERTIES Two properties have been added to the Student Grade Report: 1. Page Break Before Images: Creates a page break between the test results and the student's images. 2. Image Width: Provides the ability to customize how wide the images will display within the report page or column. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5198. DEFAULT BENCHMARKS The ability to set default grading benchmarks has been added to the Remark Quick Stats Preferences. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5201. DEFAULT REPORT BATCH WIZARD FILE The ability to set a Report Batch Wizard file as the default report has been added to the Remark Quick Stats Preferences. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5086. REPORT BATCH WIZARD FILE NAMING An option was added to the Report Batch Wizard setup for "Place all files in the same folder," which, when selected, will cause all files to be saved to the same folder rather than saved to separate folders for each filter. The filter will then be part of the file name. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q2596. HIDE BENCHMARK DIFFERENCE On the Comparative Grade Report, the benchmark difference header will now be hidden or shown for each learning objective based on whether the learning objective has a benchmark set. Furthermore, the bar graph will be expanded to fill the entire space if the learning objective does not have a benchmark set. ------------------------------------------------------------- The following fixes were made: ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5406. OCR REGIONS SET AS KEY IDENTIFIERS You can now set an OCR region as an answer key identifier in Region Item Properties of the OCR Properties window. ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5312. CHARACTER RESTRICTIONS FOR IMAGE CLIPS Certain special characters are now restricted when creating names for Image Region Image Clips. You will be warned if you enter an invalid character. Otherwise, with the invalid characters, the clips cannot be created. The following characters are invalid: \/:?*<>|" ------------------------------------------------------------- Q5157. STUDENT GRADE REPORT ROW CALCULATION The Student Grade Report would sometimes miscalculate the appropriate number of rows to display for the questions portion of the report. If there will be more than 30 rows per column, the report will not attempt to make the number of items per column even.
