Remark Office OMR works in conjunction with an image scanner. Image scanners come in a wide variety, and the one you choose will be highly dependent on your individualized needs. Remark Office OMR works with most TWAIN compliant scanners. TWAIN is a very common scanning protocol. However, individual scanner manufacturers write their own TWAIN drivers. Due to variance in TWAIN drivers and scanning environments, we are unable to guarantee compatibility with any particular scanner. If your TWAIN driver is not compatible, you may still produce images with your scanner and a third party scanning application (one often ships with the scanner- check with your manufacturer) and then have Remark Office OMR read those image files. Similarly, if you use a Multi-Function Peripheral (MFP), which can typically scan, print, copy and fax, you can produce image files independently of Remark Office OMR and then have the software read those images.
