See how to create a form template in the Remark Office OMR Template Editor. Watch the beginner video first to understand the basics. Then watch the advanced video to go into more depth and learn about more advanced features.
Learn the most common reasons that OMR type regions created in the Remark Office OMR Template Editor might turn red instead of green.
Learn when to use Copy and Paste to save time creating form templates.
Learn how to quickly and easily set up your question regions to output alternating answer choices such as ABCDE then GHJKL.
Learn how to update your existing database as you save your most recent data. An example of this might be a telephone survey where information from is collected several times a year. You want your database to reflect current data on each respondent and also wish (optionally) to add new respondents to the database if new respondents are in the most recent data collected.
Learn how to modify your data as you are saving it to create a data set where each respondent's record occupies its own row in the new data set. An example of this might be a telephone survey where information from three users is collected on a single sheet of paper. Data output from this template would place all three respondents' records in one row of data, but analysis requires one respondent per row of data.
Learn a quick and easy way to combine multiple data sets into a single data file you can use immediately.
View how to diagnose 3100 errors and learn why most of these errors occur. Learn how to reset the form image in the Template Editor to remedy the majority of these errors.
Learn how to process image files using the Read Wizard and when this method would be to your advantage.
See how to scan forms and read images in the Remark Office OMR Data Center. This module also includes cleaning data exceptions.
Learn how to use the enhanced Query Parameters feature in Remark Web Survey 5.1 and later to pass variables into your online web forms AND into your corresponding data. For example, if sending out a course evaluation, you can use Query Parameters to insert the instructor’s name into the email invitation URL. When the web form is submitted, the instructor’s name will be included in the data set. You can also use the Query Parameter value in conjunction with the Answer Piping feature to display information to the respondent (e.g., the instructor’s name in the previous example). This module takes you through creating Query Parameters, emailing recipients invitations that include the Query Parameter values, using Query Parameter values in Answer Piping, and reviewing the resulting data that includes the Query Parameter value.
Learn how to use the many time saving features of the built in email center including: Acquiring email addresses, saving, editing and saving email templates, merging information from the login page (if present) and embedding the respondent's password and username into the web form's URL so that the respondent does not have to log in.
Learn how to use the Respondent Detection feature to see who has and has not completed a web form.
Learn how to control access to your web forms by specifying the time frame that the web form can be accessed or limiting the number of respondents allowed to take the web form.
Learn the easiest quickest way to make questions in a table format required.
Learn how to use the Answer Piping feature in Remark Web Survey to "pipe" a response from one question to a label, question or answer on another part of the web form.
Learn how to create a login page, import passwords, email addresses, names and user names from a database. See how to generate random passwords and more.
Learn how to use sections and columns to format web forms. These two formatting options can help you space your question elements across the page instead of just having questions one beneath the other.
Learn how to use this great feature to add extra optional information (in the form of text or images) that your respondents may need to your web forms.
Learn how to use the Report Batch Wizard to automatically generate, print, export and filter reports with just a few clicks of the mouse. This feature is available in Remark Office OMR 7 and later and Remark Web Survey 5.

This webinar shows you the new email feature in Remark Office OMR 8. Email provides you with a quick and easy way to get information out of Remark Office OMR and into your constituents’ hands. You can email data files or report files right from the software using Microsoft Outlook or a built in email client. We will show you how to configure email and then walk through emailing a data file and a report file. When using email, you can send attachments in their native format or as zipped (compressed) files; we will demonstrate both methods.

This webinar is targeted to all user levels. Please note that we will not demonstrate the steps that lead up to the point where you have a data file or report to email. It is assumed that you know how to use Remark to the point where you have information you want to email to interested parties.
This webinar shows you how to optimally set up a form so that you can export the data to the SPSS format most efficiently. SPSS is a powerful statistical analysis program from IBM that is used by many Remark users. We will take a paper form and create a form template for it in Remark Office OMR, showing you how best to set it up so that when you view your data in SPSS, it is ready to go. In addition, we will be using Remark Office OMR Version 8, which includes many enhancements to the SPSS format, including longer variable name support and easier form template set up for questions that allow more than one response. We will take the data to the SPSS application to show you how it translates from Remark Office OMR to SPSS. Please note that we will not be doing any extensive work within SPSS. This webinar focuses on optimal form template setup and the steps required to move data from Remark Office OMR to SPSS only.

This webinar is targeted to SPSS users who want to ensure they know how to set up their form templates in Remark Office OMR and who want to see the new features in version 8. Attendees should have basic Remark knowledge, including general form template set up and form processing, as the basics of these features will not be covered.
This webinar will cover how to use Image regions to capture handwritten information on paper forms. With Remark Office OMR, you have three choices for working with handwritten text: 1) using image-assisted data entry to put the handwritten information in your database, 2) using Image Clips to capture snapshots of the handwriting for later viewing in Remark Quick Stats, or 3) using Qualitative Coding to review the handwritten comments on screen and then apply codes that categorize their themes. During this webinar we show you all three methods so that you have exposure to the options available to you.
Are you new to Remark Office OMR? Don't have much experience yet designing forms to use with the Remark software? Then you will want to view this webinar on Designing Scannable Forms for Remark Office OMR! The form is a key part to success with Remark Office OMR. A well designed form will yield the results you want when it comes time to scan your important surveys, tests, assessments, evaluations and other forms. It doesn't matter what kind of form you are using... this webinar will cover areas we often see as problems and show you how to avoid those form design issues.

Learn how to avoid, diagnose and correct recognition problems when processing forms in Remark Office OMR.
Do you need to process mixed form types at the same time? Have your pages or respondents ever gotten out of order, and you have to sort all of the papers prior to scanning? This webinar shows you how to utilize form, page and respondent tracking to identify form types, form pages and respondents so that mixed batches of forms can be scanned at the same time. You can easily apply marks, barcodes or text to your forms to tell the software the form, specific page within a form or respondent in order to collate all of your data together into logical data sets.
Have you ever wanted to throw out a question, add bonus points or change the points earned… after you initially graded a test? This webinar will teach you how to change grading parameters in order to regrade a test. We will show you how you can use reports to see initial grades and then make changes based on what you find. The Grade Wizard makes it possible to add bonus point, change point values, not include questions and change the correct answer for a question… all without rescanning your forms.
Learn about how you can link a region in a template to an external database to validate scanned data and append extra information from the data set to your Remark data.
