Welcome to the Remark Support Monthly Webinar Series. Each month, Remark support personnel will do a short webinar demonstrating one feature in our Remark products. It’s your time to see a feature in action and learn how and why it is used. We will answer your questions live. Each webinar will run approximately 30 minutes.
Monthly webinars are free for customers with current technical support agreements. If you do not have a current agreement, the cost of each webinar is $50USD. March 17, 2010, 3:00PM EDT/EST: Using Query Parameters in Remark Web Survey 5
This webinar will cover use of the Query Parameter feature in Remark Web Survey 5. You can specify a hidden textbox question as a Query Parameter so that when you send invitations to take a survey, you can insert a value that will be passed down to the data behind the scenes. For example, if sending out a course evaluation, you can use Query Parameters to insert the instructor’s name into the email invitation URL. When the web form is submitted, the instructor’s name will be included in the data set. You can also use the Query Parameter value in conjunction with the Answer Piping feature to display information to the respondent (e.g., the instructor’s name in the previous example). This webinar will take you through creating Query Parameters, emailing recipients invitations that include the Query Parameter values, using Query Parameter values in Answer Piping, and reviewing the resulting data that includes the Query Parameter value.
This webinar is targeted to intermediate and advanced Remark Web Survey 5 users who want to take advantage of the Query Parameter feature. We also welcome those users with some basic understanding of the product who think this feature may be of use to them. The demonstration assumes a basic understanding of how to design web forms in the software, and the use of the answer piping and email features.
