William Grimm
Sr. Programmer/Analyst
Bill Grimm, employed at Gravic, Inc. for over 14 years, is currently a Senior Programmer/Analyst with the Shadowbase Products Group. Bill is a key member of the Shadowbase Open Server development team that architects and implements the Shadowbase software on various non-mainframe environments, including the Windows, Unix/AIX, Linux, and AS/400 platforms, using SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Sybase, and other generic ODBC SQL databases. He also has Tandem (NonStop) platform development experience dating back to various consulting projects he performed in the mid 1990’s. He enjoys the challenges of developing high-performance software that must run efficiently on a wide variety of platforms and databases.
Bill previously worked for Hughes Aircraft Company in the Microwave Calibration Laboratory performing test, measurement, and maintenance of microwave equipment and devices, and was a Petroleum Laboratory Specialist in the Army. He is a graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology, specializing in electronic technologies. While at Gravic, he earned the Gravic Business Builder Award three times. Bill’s interests and hobbies include leisure travel, and outdoor and handyman activities. Bill and his spouse, Nancy, and daughter, Samantha, are the proud owners of a beagle named Benny.
